The B:Hive
North Shore, Auckland
Clever use of Artigo flooring tiles takes feature staircase to the next level. The innovative application of Artigo Zero.4 rubber floor tiles to a feature staircase has created a vibrant focal point in the heart one of Auckland's newest premium co-working developments.
At Takapuna's newly completed B:Hive complex, the focus on creating an architectural point of difference led the architects to find a novel use for Artigo Zero.4 rubber floor tiles.
Usually reserved as a flooring material the design specified Artigo rubber flooring tiles as a decorative covering for the steps and walls of the staircase. Spanning 5 levels high, the staircase required around 400 square metres of tiles.
Often used in educations facilities and high traffic public spaces, Artigo Zero.4 features a random stud pattern that, en-masse creates a striking effect. The product is available in seven different colours - for the B:Hive project, the architect specified a bold orange hue.
Made of non-slip noise reducing material, Artigo Zero.4 tiles are extremely durable and were the perfect choice for this project.
The Artigo rubber flooring range is available in New Zealand exclusively through Rubber Floors Ltd.
