Manawatu's competitive athletics community is set to reap the benefits of refreshed, Olympic standard facilities, following the resurfacing of the Manawatu Community Athletic Track at Massey University in Palmerston North.
The revitalised track was delivered by Rubber Floors using world-class Mondo Sportflex athletics track material. It includes eight lanes, as well as long jump, high jump and steeplechase areas.
This approach had environmental benefits such as, eliminating the need to remove materials and then re-asphalt, we avoided generating a significant load of landfill material.
Manufactured in Italy Mondo product are internationally recognised as the gold standard in sports flooring and it's athletic tracks have been used at every Olympic Games since 1976.
